Complete guide to the official collection

Cuphead Out Of The Cards is the first collectible card set released by Tomodachi Press, created from an idea by Dario Moccia, Davide Masella, and Luca Molinaro. For this second set, more than 70 artists created over 200 cards in total.

Set Overview

  • 160 Main Set Cards (100 Commons + 100 Reverse, 50 Rares, 10 Ultra Rares)
  • 163 Concept Cards (Black-and-white draft versions, random pull rate)
    P.S. 160 concepts can be found naturally, while 3 concepts of the preorder cards can only be found in god packs
  • 36 Special Cards (18 Cel, 9 Milestone, 9 Pop-Up)
  • 18 Contract Cards
  • 3 Preorder Cards
  • 2 Memorabilia Cards (Fiche and Ceramic)

The Main Set

The Main Set contains 160 cards. The layout, borders, and back change color according to the category:

  1. Characters/Bosses (1-102): The initial phases are common; the final or penultimate phases are Rare or Ultra Rare.
  2. Run 'n Gun (103-114): Divided into movement and boss phases (the latter is always Rare or Ultra Rare).
  3. Weapons and Charms (115-132): Some specific ones are Rare/Ultra Rare without a fixed pattern.
  4. Super (133-137): All Rare, except #133, which is Ultra Rare.
  5. NPCs (138-160): The most iconic and distinctive characters are Rare or Ultra Rare.

The Numbered Holographic Variants

Each card in the Main Set exists in a limited parallel holographic version:

  • /250 – Crackle Holo
  • /200 – Confetti Holo
  • /150 – Disco Holo (Note: Some Rares mistakenly have the Cosmo Holo /10 holographic pattern)
  • /100 – Drop Holo
  • /75 – Prism Holo
  • /50 – Marble Holo
  • /25 – Star Holo
  • /10 – Cosmo Holo
  • /1 – Boom Holo (One-of-a-kind copies worldwide)

Special Cards

  • Cel Card: A set consisting of two superimposable elements (painted background + transparent sheet with the characters) to recreate the effect of real 1930s animation cels.
  • Milestone Card: Vintage-style cards created to recreate the unique atmosphere of the very first collections from the 1930s.
  • Pop-Up Card: Die-cut characters to detach and mount on the base, transforming them into 3D figures for display or dioramas.

Memorabilia Cards

  • Fiche Card: Contains a real casino chip from the casino of the mephistophelian King Dice. The perfect piece for every risk lover.
  • Ceramic Card: Contains a fragment of real ceramic, the same material that Cuphead and Mugman are made of.

Promotional Cards

Preorder Card: The allure of the pact with the devil

An exclusive promotional card dedicated to those who preordered the box before launch. It depicts one of the three protagonists (Cuphead, Mugman or Chalice) in a never-before-seen demonic version.

Promo Card (Hourglass): The touch of time

An exclusive collector's item included with the purchase of the official art book published by Tomodachi Press, available in two variants:

  • Standard Version: With classic holographic treatment, included with the standard art book (still available on the website).
  • Deluxe Version: With Cosmo Holo holographic treatment, limited and numbered to just 1000 copies, included with the Deluxe art book.
