Scheda della carta

What is now an oasis in the Egyptian Western Desert was, in the Late Cretaceous, an ecosystem crisscrossed by slow-moving waterways, mangrove forests, and estuaries where abundant aquatic life thrived, as shown by numerous fossils of both vertebrates (such as bony and cartilaginous fish) and invertebrates (such as small crustaceans). Among the animals that lived here was also Spinosaurus.
