Study of the holotype shows that the plumage of this enantiornithine resembled that of modern male birds of paradise, used to impress females. For this reason, it was hypothesized to be a male.

An Epic Journey Through Paleoart

Release the Creatures: Dinosaurs! is an extraordinary card collection created to celebrate the majesty of giants from the past through the various artistic and geological eras. Thanks to the work of more than 130 international artists, this project transforms a passion for paleontology into genuine collectible works of art. At the heart of the series is a set of 150 Regular Cards, featuring an extraordinary variety of styles, techniques, and illustrative details.

Holographic Tiers and Structural Variants

The collection's base cards are available in four exclusive holographic levels (Tiers), enhancing their value and visual appeal:

  • Tier C (Silver): Cards enhanced with elegant silver holography.

  • Tier B (Marble): A special finish with marble-like appeal.

  • Tier A (Reptile & Drip-off): Unique variants with tactile effects and scaled textures.

  • Tier S: Highly valuable black cards enhanced with metallic gold ink and spectacular Rainbow holographic details.

Completing this section are the Timeshifted Cards: 30 cards with artwork that differs from the base set, featuring a special layout and finished with Magma holography.

Special Cards: Editorial and Artistic Rarities

The catalog includes a series of Special Cards made with exceptional materials and formats:

  • Landscape Cards: Spectacular holographic cards that unfold into four-page brochures, designed to reveal nine imposing geological formations.

  • Safari Cards: Artwork depicting nine dinosaurs handcrafted at a 1:1 scale, set in their natural habitat and printed on high-quality photographic paper.

  • Masterpiece Card Series X: A collectible series featuring and restoring nine historic anthropological illustrations by Giovanni Caselli, printed on premium, heavyweight uncoated paper (450 grams) with the artist's signature hot-pressed into it.

Historic and One-of-a-Kind Pieces

The most exclusive and rare pieces in the entire collection stand out for their documentary and collectible value:

  • Fossil Cards: Genuine display-worthy relics containing real, certified fossil fragments, ranging from Titanosaur eggshell fragments to unique pieces such as the tooth of a Tyrannosaurus rex hatchling.

  • Printing Plate Cards: Unique items made from the original metal plates used in printing as the molds for producing the collection itself.
